Cosmetic Eye Surgery for more Slanted Eye Look?? Help!?
I have a consultation with a surgeon tomorrow for my canthopexy that I am going to get to pronounce the slant in my eye............thus giving me a oriental/exotic eye look. For those of you who are wondering what they would look like: Just picture a black girl with weave braids and her hair pulled REALLY tight::.lol. I want to know do you think I will look weird? I ALREADY have slanted eyes, i just want this surgery to pronounce the slant, slanting it even more. How much slanting should i ask for? I am light brown skinned and people always ask me when I have my hair tight, am I of oriental descent. I think oriental's eyes are THE BEST. They are sooo beautiful.

I think Asians are beautiful, but extremely slanted eyes always reminded me of Woody Woodpecker or that other woodpecker in the vintage cartoons. It gives me a creepy feeling. I saw her photo, that's what it reminds me of. Actress Lucy Liu does not remind me of a woodpecker, she looks very natural.
I think you SHOULD try botox instead, you can get a tighter look without it being permanent. I am 25 and I have had Botox already as preventative maintenence, I got it done for the first time in July. I only got the forehead done, because I don't have any crows feet, as preventative maintenance, but still I can see how it can affect ones appearance. I think it made me look age 19. It pulls the skin tighter. You can get botox done to mimic the effect of an eyebrow lift, too.

The eye is a very complex organ. However there are apparatus' that can be used to reshape the eye sort of speak. Corrective Contact lenses can be used to help reshape the eye in order to increase a person's vision but it does not increase or decreases the size of the eye ball itself. I would definitely advise you to go see an eye care professional for advice on this subject. I am not sure but perhaps one eye is weaker then the other and you just need to do eye exercises to strenghten it (but again do not quote me on that, I am not an eyecare provider just trying to offer friendly advice and information).

Cosmetic lenses are actually really bad for your eyes. Every persons eyes have a different shape, and generally cosmetic lenses are one generic shape and size. This can cause irritation and possible vision problems. My advice would be to see your optometrist and get prescribed lenses, even if your vision is good. Can dogs have cosmetic eye surgery?
It probably sounds silly, but someone mentioned to me that dogs can have surgery on their eye to cut back a piece of skin or meat that prevents them from completely opening their eye up. I was considering it since my dog has a ';crooked'; eye and one of his eyes doesn't open all the way since he was that extra meat around his eye. I was told it might even make him go blind in that eye since his hair around the eye area scratches around there, and that the procedure is quick and easy. You need to find a specialist to do this procedure if you opt to do that. Contact a local University that teaches veterinary medicine. They will be able to refer you to someone in your area. Was your dog born with this condition or is it something that just happened recently? If he was born with it you may want to talk to your breeder and find out if any others in the litter or the sire or dam had any of the same issues. IF he was not born with it you may want to determine if an infection caused it. It looks like a terribly infected eye.....looks really dry. If the eye boogers continue until you can find a resolution try purchasing some saline solution like you would wash your contacts with....and rinse his eye out. That will help a little until you can do better for him.
Take this dog to a vet and have a correct diagnoses done on him. Does have have entropian, does he have extra eyelashes on the inside of the lid? Have him looked at by a vet opthamologist, instead of guessing here on the internet!

yes actually they can....sometimes dogs upper eyelids turn under, the lashes scratch the eye and they can go blind. So Dr's (vets) now will do a smiple surgery and remove that part of the eyelid, so the dog can open and close it's eyes properly...

Do the eyelids curl in on this dog? If they do and the eyelashes are touching the eye like you say they are... You need to have this eye fixed. Google ';entropia';

okay, ok, deep question here. i have lazy eye. anyone know what that means. (its where one eye is bigger then the other @ a sequent slightly.) i know funny, funny.

Skin under the eye is very thin. When blood passes through the large veins close to the surface of the skin it can produce a bluish tint. The more transparent your skin the darker the circles appear. For a cosmetic use a good concelar by Bare Esencutals or Maybelline or just a brand you trust then during the night or relaxing time use cucumbers and teabags {one or both} and you should look great!!

I believe the surgery itself is referred to as blephoraplasty. I'm 1/4 asian, but have always wanted more of a slant to my eye. A few months ago, I got really itchy eyes. I got an eye infection from my hands around my eyes. The doctor prescribed an antibiotic medicin and an antibiotic eye cream. She also recommended that I switch to hypoallergenic eye makeup so I switched to Almay. I remove my makeup before bed but I still wake up the next morning with mildly puffy eyelids. Allow the swelling to go down, that might take a while, have patience. Allow the swelling to go, if you are still having problems then seek a second opinion.
A common problem if your eyelid does not close properly is dry eye. One role of the eyelids is to spread tears over the eye surface, if the eyelids do not close then the eye does not get lubricated.
Mention the concerns to your doctor when you see him next, I'm sure you'll be fine...

jane cosmetics does not test on animals.... now for the shadow as a liner... It looks great for both smokey and DARK looks. If you want a smokey look you can use the shadow as your liner but if you want a black line not just a mokey line you can wet your brush and then use your shadow on the wet brush which is a great way to make the color stand out. Not all eyeshadows can be used as eyeliner thought. Your best bet is using a color that you know looks just as good off the pot as it does in it. Also, using pencil eyeliner and placing black eyeshadow on topof it can help you keep that lied look all day!!

ok... upper and lower lid surgery is referred to as a blepharoplasty... the only way to increase the diameter of the lid would be to take out the excess or ';hooded'; skin and the fat located on the bottom which is inside the eye along the lower lash line area... it would not necessarily increase the diameter of the eye but rather open it up due to the excess tissue and skin being taken out so the appearance of hooding and droopy or saggy eye lid would be gone... you could increase the diameter of the eye by a few millmeters by getting a lateral brow lift where 2 tiny incision are made on each side of the scalp a bit above each temple and thus ';lifting the outer corners of the eye including the outer corner of the brow,,, if you had a trans coronal brow lift this would be an incision completely ACROSS the crown of the scalp and I do not recommend this due to the fact it gives a ';deer in the headlights'; appearance or a shocked look... when considering plastic surgery choose the suttle approach,,,, if you need a good doctor recommendation feel free to email me... Does anyone know of a good cosmetic eye cream to keep wrinkles at bay, stop puffy eyes and dark circles.?

If you would like to apply home remedies to reduce dark circles, here are some of my suggestions:
Buy a box of regular, old fashioned unflavored gelatin (e.g. Knox) from grocery store. Take a small cup or bowl and put in 1 teaspoon of the gelatin mix. Add one tablespoon of boiling water %26amp; stir for a minute. Test it on your wrist to make sure it is not too hot. Then, using a cotton ball, pat it under your eyes as you would an eye cream or gel. Go lie down and listen to some music, or take a bath %26amp; let it stay on for at least 30 minutes. Then just rinse it off.Gelatin is very high in Vitamin K %26amp; Biotin. It will not remove your dark circles on the first application (but you will notice a difference), but if you do it daily for a week, and then 2-3 times a week for maintenance, you should notice a drastic reduction in dark circles.

MAC has alot of preservatives in it (to help it 'stick') and is known for its staying power, not for how healthy it leaves your skin. Honestly, I think its one of the worst make-ups to fall asleep in, because your skin is guaranteed to look like a train wreck in the morning. It's also considered more of a 'costume make-up'.If mac cosmetics is so good then why doesnt there eye shadow or lipstick have vitamins for the skin?
Because they are a strong color carrier. If you want your vitamins, go to clinique. They are not about skin care they are about colors. It's studio style makeup. And yes, it is that good without vitamins.

You can clean your MAC brushes with the MAC Pink bottle cleanser or use baby shampoo. Make sure when your cleaning your brushes, your not cleaning it in circular motions. Just go backward and forward.

You will have to experiment with holding your brush at just the right angle for the application you like best, which amount of pressure to use when applying the colors, what colors you prefer and make your eyes stand out, and how to blend the lighter colors into the darker.
Practice, practice, practice.
Basic Equipment
I'll give you the basic smokey eye make up tip equipment and color choices, and you can experiment and pick and choose what you like and what works for you.
Eyeshadow Colors: Using a black or gray eyeshadow without proper application and blending can cause you to look a little ';goth';, besides, it's out this season. If you don't think you want to look this way, I recommend using less intense colors.
Try violet, chocolate, coffee, dark pink, copper, dark green or purple, etc.
Eyeliner Colors: A dark grey, charcoal or black.
Basic Technique
Here is the basic smokey eye make up tip technique. Like mentioned above, practice and play around until you get the feel and the look you like.
Step 1: Apply a crystalline or other highlighter shade just on your browbone. Applying it to the whole lid can cause your darker colors to look muddy when applied over it. Apply a little under your eye and right at the tear duct to keep eyes looking wide and ';open';.
Step 2: Using a taupe, nude or sand color, apply just to your eyelid.
Step 3: Use a flat edge brush for this part. Rub the side of the bristles in your darker color. Then hold the brush almost vertically, with the flat edge touching your eyelashes. Sweep the color straight up to just above the crease. It's all about technique here. You need to be able to see this color a little above your crease when your eyes are open.
Step 4: Finally, use your darkest color for this step. It can be a dark brown, metallic colors, darker purples and greens, whatever. Use the same technique and sweep the color from your eyelashes up to just below the crease. Too high and you'll look like a raccoon.
Step 5: Using a soft pencil eyeliner in black or charcoal, line all the way around your top and bottom lids. Using your finger or a sponge tip, smudge the eyeliner, so it doesn't have a distinct line. If you prefer, you might want to apply your mascara first, so you can blend any mistakes into the eyeliner. You can also use eyeshadow and an eyeshadow brush to line your eyes.
Step 6: Now use a very dark eyeshadow (black, dark grey, very dark purples or maroons, etc.) and smudge it into the pencil line and out and around your whole eye. (Don't smudge over your tearduct!)

ok... upper and lower lid surgery is referred to as a blepharoplasty... the only way to increase the diameter of the lid would be to take out the excess or ';hooded'; skin and the fat located on the bottom which is inside the eye along the lower lash line area... it would not necessarily increase the diameter of the eye but rather open it up due to the excess tissue and skin being taken out so the appearance of hooding and droopy or saggy eye lid would be gone... you could increase the diameter of the eye by a few millmeters by getting a lateral brow lift where 2 tiny incision are made on each side of the scalp a bit above each temple and thus ';lifting the outer corners of the eye including the outer corner of the brow,,, if you had a trans coronal brow lift this would be an incision completely ACROSS the crown of the scalp and I do not recommend this due to the fact it gives a ';deer in the headlights'; appearance or a shocked look... when considering plastic surgery choose the suttle approach,,,, if you need a good doctor recommendation feel free to email me... I absolutely LOVE L'Oreal's HIP line (High Intensity Pigment). They have great shades of purple but also you may love their other colors. They have a really pretty green set. This line of eye shadow is also great for a night out on the town as the color stays on really well and doesn't wear off towards the end of the evening like so many other brands do!

I think this is the cheapest brand but I absolutely love Wet N Wild Mega Eyes Trio. On the back it says to complement green and hazel eyes. Three color come in the case. A dark, medium and light. Medium for the eyelid, Dark for the crease, and light for the top. I've had so many compliments when wearing this eyeshadow.

The MAC Pro Pan palette is actually not a pro product so you could find at any free standing mac store and at the mac website. Anything on the regular mac website you can find in mac stores. I use Mac's Technokohl because i have tried loads of eyeliner and mac's technokohl is one of the best, and i prefer the technokohl just because you dont have to sharpen it and still get the perfect liner you want to get. If you really dont like kohl pencils then go with Mac's powerpoint because those powerpoint liners has a creamy formula which is very easy to apply. But overall you should definately try mac's technokohl cause you won't be disappointed!

The best facial mask is honey. Place a cloth in warm water and apply to your face to open the pores. Smear on honey, and leave on for 15 to 30 minutes. Rinse off with warm water, then use cold water to close the pores. Use once a week.
Miracle Whip Exfoliator
';Yes, I am talking about the same Miracle Whip your Aunt Mable uses in her macaroni salad. Apparently, women all over the US are using this salad dressing ingredient on their faces to remove dead flaky skin.
I have not tried it myself, but supposedly, KRAFT MIRACLE WHIP Exfoliating Facial makes an amazing treatment for normalizing over-oily skin.
Here is how you apply this ';miracle cream';:
Make sure all your hair is pulled back from your face. Apply a thin layer of the KMW all over your face, up to the eyelashes and make sure to also put some on your neck. The ';fumes'; from the vinegar may bother you so walk around the house to try to escape them. LOL!
Leave on for 10 minutes, then massage gently. The dead skin cells on your face will roll off in rubbery little balls. Rinse your skin with tepid water, then cleanse as usual following your regular beauty regime. If you apply the KMW every day, in 6-8 weeks your skin should be completely renewed.
I cannot help but wonder if this Miracle Whip eats away at the dead skin cells on your face, what does it do to the inside of the body when someone eats it?? Pretty scary!!! One person believes that the vinegar in the Miracle Whip is what causes the exfoliation and rejuvenation. If that is true, why not try a mixture of organic apple cider vinegar with some olive oil, apply that and see what happens? One could whip together the olive oil and apple cider vinegar, apply it to their face and then use the leftovers on their salad!
I think I will start experimenting with some ingredients and try to come up with a facial recipe to rival the KRAFT MIRACLE WHIP!';

Avocado is a naturally rich moisturizer. Mash the meat of the avocado into a creamy texture. Massage into the face and neck . Leave on for 15 minutes and gently rinse off.

Oh all MAC palette's are empty. They're purchased that way. You have to buy your own eyeshadow's and fill them up yourself which can get expensive. But I have one. I already filled it up. I need another one. I got it from ebay. I like urban decay but in general I like MAC better. MAC has alot more eyeshadows and they're cheaper. I think Urban decay is more famous for their primer potion, 24/7 liners, and palette's. But the eyeshadow's in the palette's are alot smaller than mac shadows. I recommend getting a mac palette from ebay and buying the eyeshadow re-fill's from the MAC counter or store because ebay sells alot of fake MAC makeup. And for a beginner it's really hard to tell the difference between the real thing.

Oh all MAC palette's are empty. They're purchased that way. You have to buy your own eyeshadow's and fill them up yourself which can get expensive. But I have one. I already filled it up. I need another one. I got it from ebay. I like urban decay but in general I like MAC better. MAC has alot more eyeshadows and they're cheaper. I think Urban decay is more famous for their primer potion, 24/7 liners, and palette's. But the eyeshadow's in the palette's are alot smaller than mac shadows. I recommend getting a mac palette from ebay and buying the eyeshadow re-fill's from the MAC counter or store because ebay sells alot of fake MAC makeup. And for a beginner it's really hard to tell the difference between the real thing.

i really like urban decay
but i love mac's carbon eyeshadow and feline kohl power.
they have mac stores and they also sell mac in department stores.
go to ebay and look up the 120 pallette..its AMAZING it has every color and its super pigmented!!
mac i got some on sale at publix for 2.59
I perfer MAC.
